75 years ago, Leo Fender began working on the designs that would become the world’s first commercially successful solid body electric guitar. In Solid Rock, we take a look back at some of the originators, the tone masters and the shredders that made the extraordinary music that is rock and heavy metal happen.

Solid Rock will feature 75 legendary rock and metal guitar greats, each within a double-page spread. Together, they are some of the most influential and innovative electric guitarists we have ever seen. A full-page vintage image is accompanied by original design and a unique celebratory commentary, drawn from our ‘in-conversation’ sessions with K.K. Downing – Grammy award-winning guitarist and a founding member of rock and metal giants Judas Priest.
